What if there is a fast food sold more than Big mac hamburgers?

As you know, hamburger, a typical fast food originated from Hamburg steak made in Germany for the first time, has spread all over the world, and with coca-cola, it is regarded as a symbol of open civilization or open culture, and even now most young nice-looking men and women in many countries make it a point to eat hamburgers when they have dates.

But what if there is a country where hamburger is overcome?
It is Korea! That's because in Korea, if there are one or two hamburger shops in a village, the snack food shop where they sell the fast food called 'gimbab' are even more than ten.

'Gimbab' means 'rice rolled in dried laver with various ingredients in the center', and in this word, 'gim' means laver, and 'bab' means boiled rice.

Then, how do we make Korean traditional gimbab?

1. At first, harvest laver in the sea water.
2. After drying it in the sunlight well, cut it into the same A4 sized sheets.
3. Spread perilla oil or sesame oil on both sides of a sheet of laver.
4. After spreading boiled rice on the laver, to the eater's liking, put crab meat, pickled radish, ham, carrots, eggs, spinach, and cucumber, etc. on it, and roll it.
5. Then slice the roll into the same sized slices, and it is 'gim+bab', a unique fast food which is only in Korea, and overcomes hamburgers.

Generally, gimbab is named after the main ingredients in it, so that there
are so many kinds of gimbab in Korea, and the common ones of them are kimchi-gimbab, chamchi-gimbab, ddaengcho-gimbab, sogogi-gimbab, yachae-gimbab, salad-gimbab, cheese-gimbab, gyeranmari-gimbab, sigeumchi-gimbab, and nude-gimbab even rolled inside out, and covered with rice, and so on. In addition to this, countless kinds of gimbab are an established fast food in most Korean fast food restaurants.

The price of a roll of gimbab is only 1~3 US$, but generally two rolls of gimbab can be a nice meal. Gimbab was a very precious food in the past, so that we could eat it only the time we went on a picnic at school or an organization, or we had an important event.

Osaka 'sushi' of Japan has an unbroken tradition of hundreds of years, and it is the best one as for a carrying food.
In Korea, You can try the best diet food served in five minutes for 2 US$ in five minutes' walk if only you want to find it.
When we have gimbab with our brothers or friends, an inappropriate war of nerves and consideration happen. Why?
When we slice to make gimbab, both ends of it have more main ingredients than rice, and the parts of gimbab are more delicious than any other parts of it, so only after eating the parts, we have the pleasure, so that when we eat gimbab with our brothers or friends, we try to be first to eat or to let them eat the special parts. In the meantime, we can make unique relationships among brothers or friends only Koreans have.
When Koreans visit Japan, or Japanese who came to Korea go back to Japan, they always buy Korean laver. That's because even though there are a lot of seafoods in Japan, they can't make that delicious laver like Korean one made with natural wind and sunlight, which has superior quality.

'Gim+bab'.
Remember this word, 'gimbab', and ask your Korean friends to make it for you, and then you'll hear that he or she can't make it because there is no laver there.
That‘s because 'gimbab' is distinctive Korean Traditional Food.
Well, we'd eagerly like to send some gimbab to our readers, but actually we can't.   That's because it is a fresh food, so that when eight hours has passed after it is made, it starts to go bad, and if we send it by freezing it, it doesn't taste as good as fresh one. We can have the best taste of gimbab when it is hot and the rice has proper moisture.

Well, enjoy your watching, and pester your Korean friends to make gimbab for you! ha-ha.
